The Fiat Linea measures 4,596 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width, 1,494 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,603 mm. The sedan features 16 inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, turn indicators on the ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors). It is available in five colour options, Bronzo Tan, Minimal Grey, New Pearl White, Hip Hop Black and Magnesio Grey. The 1.4 petrol and 1.3 diesel variants are offered with a disc brake setup up front and drum brake setup at the rear while the top end petrol variant that is powered by the 1.4 litre T Jet motor has an all disc brake setup.
The Fiat Linea features electrically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), 5 inch AVN (Audio Video Navigation) infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, USB, AUX and SD Card. The top end versions are offered with steering mounted audio and phone controls as well. In addition to the infotainment system, the higher variants of the Fiat Linea is available with automatic climate control while the lower variants have manual AC controls. In addition to the convenience, the company also offers cup as well as bottle holders for both rows, rear roof light, tilt steering, electrically adjutable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) and a collapsible rear sun blind.
The Fiat Linea is powered by three engine options, a 1.4 litre petrol engine, a 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine and a 1.4 litre T-Jet petrol engine. The 1.4 litre petrol engine generates 89 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The 1.3 litre diesel engine produces 92 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 209 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The 1.4 litre T-Jet petrol engine churns out 123 hp of power at 5,000 rpm and 208 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm to 3,500 rpm. All engines have been tuned for the best balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
All variants of the Fiat Linea are available with a 5 speed manual transmission. Although, no versions are offered with an optional automatic gearbox, gear shifts on the manual transmission are reasonable. The transmission is mated to the 16 valve DOHC (Dual Over Head Cam) engines available on offer with the Fiat Linea.
In terms of safety, the Fiat Linea is offered with ABS (Anti lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors for the higher variants. All versions are offered with central door locking, immobiliser, speed sensing door locks and Fire Prevention System.
