The Fiat Urban Cross measures 3,989 mm in length, 1,706 mm in width, 1,542 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,510 mm. All variants of the Fiat Urban Cross are offered with a rear spoiler, load bearing roof rails and rear fog lamps. Higher versions also have front fog lamps, body coloured ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) and the top end 1.4L T-Jet variant is offered with 16 inch ‘Scorpion’ alloy wheels. Other versions also have a dual tone 16 inch alloy wheel design.
Fiat offers the Urban Cross with a 5 inch ‘Smart tech’ AVN (Audio Video Navigation) infotainment system that supports Bluetooth, USB, AUX, and SD card compatibility. In addition, the crossover is also available with a dual tone dashboard for all trims, tilt steering and rear foldable seats. The higher versions of the Fiat Urban Cross are available with a 60:40 split fold rear seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), electric boot release button, remote keyless entry, fabric inserts on the door panels, ambient lighting on the dashboard and automatic climate control.
The Fiat Urban Cross is powered by a 1,248 cc diesel engine and a 1,368 cc turbocharged petrol engine. The diesel engine generates 92 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 209 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm while the turbo petrol motor produces 140 hp of power at 5,500 rpm and 210 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm to 4,000 rpm.
Both engines available in the Fiat Urban Cross are offered with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Automatic transmission is not available in any of the variants, however, the transmission has been tuned for smooth gear shifts.
The Fiat Urban Cross comes with ABS (Anti lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and dual front airbags on the higher variants. All versions are offered with speed sensing door locks, central door locking, door open indicator, immobiliser and Fire Prevention System.
The Fiat Urban Cross has a claimed fuel efficiency of 20 kmpl for the diesel engine powered variants and 17.1 kmpl for the petrol engine powered variants. These mileage figures are acceptable and comparable to its segment.
