Stage 11 of the 2025 Dakar Rally was off to a late start owing to dense mist, subsequently leading the organisers to shorten the stage to 152km instead of the original 308km. The delayed start and the previous stage’s strategy by riders meant Honda’s Tosha Schariena took the win for the day, while Ekstrom was the stage winner in the car category. Here are the highlights.

Honda’s Tosha Schariena has had a consistent pace this year, and the Spaniard is closing down on KTM’s overall lead. The Honda man was followed by Benavides in second and Van Beveren in third, while defending champion Ricky Brabec crossed the line in fourth and Her’s Nacho Cornejo made the top five.
In the overall standings after Stage 11 of the 2025 Dakar Rally, Sanders still leads the race with a nine-minute gap over Schareina, followed by Van Beveren and Benavides. Akk four Hondas are in the top 10, along with both KTMs and Hero.

In the cars category, Ford took another win with Ekstrom behind the wheel, finishing the stage just seconds ahead of Nasser Al-Attiyah, who is on the hunt after losing precious time in the previous stage. Yazeed Al Rajhi was third yesterday, followed by Guthrie in fourth. Overall, Al Rajhi has stolen the lead from Henk Lategan, while Nasser Al-Attiyah is still 26 minutes away from the leader.
