Jawa is finally back with a bang! Three new Jawa motorcycles have been launched in India at a killer price tag. The three bikes namely Jawa, Jawa 42 and Jawa Perak get different styling in order to suit different preferences of the customers. First up is the Jawa. Reminiscent of the original Jawa, the bike has been named as just Jawa. Showcased in a maroon shade that has been a signature shade for Jawa bikes, this one looks like a skinned down version of the original model, however, it looks exciting.
-
Second up is the Jawa 42. This one is the most affordable of the three motorcycles that the company has launched in India. Showcased in an off-beat yellow shade at the launch venue, the Jawa 42 gets slightly different styling than the ‘Jawa’ that sits above it.
-
Last but the most appealing of the lot is the Jawa Perak. Built on Bobber philosophy, the Jawa Perak has the longest wheelbase out of three motorcycles and get the most powerful 334cc engine that produces 30 bhp of power.
-
All three motorcycles get a retro looking instrument cluster that gets an inverted layout. The unit also gets a fuel gauge and needless to say, the set up is completely analog in order to keep the retro charm intact.
-
Jawa Forty Two has been launched in a total of six colour options namely Hally’s Teal, Galactic Green, Starlight Blue, Lumos Lime, Nebula Blue and Comet Red. The vibrant shades will definitely appeal to a lot of buyers.
-
Powering the Jawa Forty Two and Jawa is a 293cc, liquid-cooled engine that is good for churning out respective power and torque outputs of 27 bhp and 28 Nm. The company says that the bike has the same exhaust note as the original Jawa.
-
Jawa gets a significant amount of chrome on the fuel tank and the twin exhaust set up. This will definitely remind you of the original Jawa and will put you in the nostalgia mode.
-
The fuel tank cap on these motorcycles can be customised according to the company. The idea behind is to offer a personalised feeling to the customers.
-
Bookings for the Jawa motorcycles have begun today. The company says that the deliveries of the Jawa and Forty Two will begin in early January 2019 while that of the Perak will commence at a later stage. The brand will come up with 105 new dealerships across India that will be opened over the course of the coming months.

The Jawa Perak gets a disc brake each at the front and rear and a dual-channel ABS comes as standard with the motorcycle. That being said, this one offers a better stopping power than the Forty Two and Jawa as these bikes get a single disc brake up front with a single channel ABS.
