'The Killer' – by far the most incredible custom built motorcycle we've come across. It's thanks to Bobby Haas of the Haas Moto Museum in Dallas and Craig Rodsmith, we get to ogle at this functional art piece and embrace its name. The inspiration for the Killer comes from a madcap motorcycles built by German engineers between wars. Keep reading to know more.

Based on the German contraption, The Killer – like Rokon Trail-Breaker – is front-wheel-drive and perhaps the only other motorcycle in the world which is front-wheel-drive. That's not it though, the other fascinating bit is the engine and where it's mounted.
-
The front wheel has been mounted with a radial engine. Bikeexif writes that Craig first thought he would buy a radial engine online but they aren't readily available. So, he built one on his own.
-
The motorcycle is fully finctional but the project was commissioned mostly as an art bike. But imagine looking at The Killer ride down the road – won't that be a sight! The engine built by fusing three identical engines together.
-
It has been fitted with an electric starter, but there are technically three engines which have to be cranked all at once. Hence, Craig built a Bendix drive so the starter would disengage once the engine were running.
-
The bodywork looks rather really good too. Craig has ridden the Killer and he says "it’s a weird sensation of being pulled by an engine rather than pushed.” And now, about the inspiration – Killinger und Freund’ built in 1935 in Munich, Germany. Powered by a 600 cc two-stroke triple or a three one-cylinder engines joined together, the motorcycle was yet super lightweight at just 135 kg. (Source: Bike Exif)
