Royal Enfield is attending the Wheels and Waves, a festival held every year in the French town of Biarritz. Over the years, this festival has built a culture around personalisation of motorcycles and art and fun. Royal Enfield first showcased its custom-built motorcycles at this festival in the year 2016. This year, Royal Enfield has come up with two new custom bikes based on the Continental GT and the Himalayan – the Surf Racer and the Gentleman Brat.

The Surf Racer is based on the Continental GT, a cafe racer that has been stripped further for an ultra light-weight motorcycle. It is powered by a 535cc engine that has been tuned for extra power.

It has gets an under seat “jet” style tail exhaust, 17" performance wheels, upside forks and an under engine rear shock.
-
The Surf Racer has half fairing, and the graphics are fairly simple, but in style with racing heritage. The graphics also include a Sinroja hallmark, which has collaborated in the build of the two motorcycles.

The Gentleman Brat is based on the Himalayan, the first purpose built motorcycle by Royal Enfield. The Himalayan has off-road capabilities, and so does its Wheels and Waves cousin. It has undergone a lot of weight reduction. It gets 16" rims with fat white wall tyres, and upgraded suspension.
