Design: The new Duke 390 features a major change when it comes to its design, and has inched closer to looking like its elder sibling, the 1290 Super Duke. A significant change comes from the split headlamp with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) featuring a design similar to that seen on the Ducati Diavel. As far as KTM 200 Duke is concerned, it too has undergone a cosmetic surgery and definitely the naked streetfighter now appears more serious.

Engine: The powertrain on the 390 Duke will more or less remain the same, a 373.2cc single-cylinder, but with a few updates like slipper clutch, ride by wire and a new balancer shaft. There will be no difference in power figures, which is 43.5 bhp. The engine on the 200 Duke too is like to remain the same, which is a 199.5cc, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke unit.
-
Features: The fuel tank of the 390 Duke has been enlarged to a capacity of 13.4-litres. It now comes with a side-mounted exhaust, instead of the underbelly one found on the outgoing 390 Duke. Other changes include redesigned split seats, TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and redesigned front fender.

Price and competitors: Owing to range of upagrades in the features and equipment, expect the 390 Duke to come with a price tag heavier by about Rs 10,000. It is currently priced at Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It stands to directly compete against Bajaj Dominar 400.
