Custom bike build offs have come up as a whole separate arm of motorcycling altogether. One held by a Royal Enfield importer in Czech Republic was a great opportunity for David Zima. And good for us, we get to see his brilliant handiwork – a Royal Enfield Bullet 500 custom-built as a scrambler and a quite a throwback to vintage MX-style Husqvarna motorcycles. (source: Bikeexif)

David of Rod Motorcycles had a brand new Royal Enfield Bullet 500 to work with and a two-month deadline to meet. David took some time to think of ways to customise it. “So I walked around for a few days and couldn’t decide. But my brother couldn’t stand it anymore … so one day, while I wasn’t looking, he cut the motorcycle in half,” he told Bikeexif.

With the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 missing the rear half of its bobber-style frame, David went to rebuild it with upright dynamics and added long YSS shocks. New upper fork sleeves and headlight mounts were fabricated and the top yoke redesigned for traditional risers. The new look was finished with a new headlight, a vintage-style number board, and classic handlebars.

The brakes of the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 were upgraded with a larger disc up front with a better master cylinder. David replaced stock tyres with Michelin Sirac and removed the ABS system. A fresh red and silver paint job adds to the scrambler Husqvarna vibe David set out to build.

The Bullet original tool box now holds a small lithium-ion battery and the wiring has been completely redone. The ignition key now sits below the tank and it now gets Rod Motorcycles switchgear. The engine has been left stock but it now breathes through a K&N filter and the high-riding exhaust has been custom-built as well. The Bullet 500 scrambler is now on sale.
