Honda Cub never made it to the Indian market but you can't ignore one of the largest selling two-wheelers in the world for reasons that range beyond the comfort and efficiency that it offers. It turns out, the Cub makes a fantastic base for a custom job and the end results have been fascinating us for some time now. This is the third Cub we're featuring and the time the cute scoot looks like it can bite. (Find links to the other two custom Cub galleries in the slides to follow) (Source: Bikeexif)

This time though it isn't a standard Cub, it is a CT125 Super Cub (T is for trail) which has been transformed into an adventure scooter reminiscing Honda's 'Postie' bikes. It gets a 125cc air-cooled four-stroke engine, a four-speed gearbox, 17" wheels, disc brakes, a sump guard, a large rear rack, and just enough suspension travel for light scrambling. Thailand's K-Speed have had a go on the Super Cub and Honda Monkey before with spectacular results, so it shows they know what they're doing with this build. Customised in just 10 days, this CT125 was built as a prototype to develop new parts and in the process make it stand out from other CTs. (Source: Bikeexif)

With 'combat' as its theme, the CT125 was given a new 2" longer custom-built swing arm making space for 100/100-17 enduro tyre at the rear. The OEM mudguard was replaced with a slim one on a new rack to also support a 'tool box'. They gave it Diablo (K-Speed in-house brand) shocks lifting it by 1.5". Moving to the cockpit, the crew modified the stock triple tree with new risers, then added a set of enduro-style Diablo handlebars. They wear new grips, a new throttle, mini-switches, bar-end mirrors, and a Takegawa brake master cylinder. K-Speed also added extensions to the Hunter Cub’s crash bars, and the stock LED speedo is now mounted on the side of the bike, on top of the left crash bar. The front turn signals are harder to spot, but they’re there. (Source: Bikeexif)

The quirkiest part on this adventure scoot is the bizarre Gatling gun-style exhaust. It’s a fully functional unit and actually spins faster and faster as the Cub accelerates. Picking from their own catalog, adding a handful of clever one-off parts and applying a distressed paint job, K-Speed have managed to make the already cool CT125 even sassier.
