Hero MotorCorp has finally ventured into the 125 cc scooter segment with the new Hero Destini 125 and has been priced at Rs 54,650 (Ex-Showroom) making it the most affordable 125 cc scooter in India. Hero Destini 125 is availble in two variants and the top Vx variant of the scooter is priced at Rs 57,500. The scooter was launched in India today and dealers across India have commenced the bookings of the new Hero scooter with deliveries being promised over next few weeks.

Hero Destini 125 is the first Hero Scooter to get company's i3S (Idle-stop-start system) that adds to overall efficiency. The scooter takes on the likes of TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125.

Hero Destiny 125 has a width of 729 mm, stands tall at 1164 mm and has a ground clearance 155 mm. The scooter weighs 111.5 kgs and carry a maximum payload of 130 kilograms. The Destiny is also 1809 mm longer.

Hero MotorCorp says that the 125cc scooter segment in India is growing rapidly and has witnessed a growth of 75% this fiscal. "The 125cc segment, therefore, is a focus area for us and we are stratigically following a multi brand approach in this space. In keeping with this strategy, we have debuted today in this category with the Destini 125 and will soon intorduce another scooter towards the end of the year.” said Map Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp.

Hero Destini 125 is powered by a new 125cc energy boost engine and has a power of 8.7 bhp and 10.2 Nm of torque. This engine offers a 17% higher torque and 9% more power than the existing 110cc scooters by Hero like the Duet and Maestro Edge.

Hero Destini 125cc scooter segment get digital-analogue speedometer which features side stand indicator and service due reminder that will help in overall convience. The scooter is aimed at young professionals from the metro and mini-metros.

Hero Destini 125 also gets external fuel filling system, remote key opening, mobile charging port and boot light on the top-variant. It also get telescopic suspension and an integrated braking system.

Hero Destini 125 gets a metal body with a bold premium Chrome Chest, Signature Tail Lamp & Winkers, side chrome garnishes, new body colour mirrors and dual tone seat cover. The scooter is avaialble in four colours Noble Red, Chestnut Bronze, Panther Black and Pearl Silver White.
