Henessey Venom F5 is here and the makers only had one thing on their minds when building it – To be the absolute fastest road car on earth. The new Venom is lighter and faster. The team behind it has given it a completely new design, chassis and carbon fiber body focussed on aerodynamics to achieve the lowest possible drag. The new F5 design features active aero that will yield a coefficient of drag of just 0.33. But this is only an amuse-bouche, find other eye-popping details in the following slides:
-
The Venom F5 will be powered by an all new, twin turbo V8 engine that will deliver over 1600 bhp! The engine will be paired to a seven-speed single clutch paddle shift transmission, delivering power to the rear wheels. The Venom will also feature an all new light-weight chassis and all carbon-fibre body, which will give the F5 a curb weight of about 1338 kg.

A combination ingredients like light-weight chassis, low-drag and gargantuan horsepower will allow the Venom F5 to deliver a new level of hypercar performance. Acceleration from 0 to 300 kph will be less than 10 seconds making it quicker than current Formula 1 race cars. Zero to 400 kph and back to rest will be under 30 seconds. The top speed of the Venom F5 is projected to exceed 480 kph.
-
Slated to be the fastest road car on the planet, the Venom F5 will not be very easy to come by, considering that there are over 2,000 billionaires in the world. The base price for the Venom F5 is $1.6 million and the company only plans to build 24 examples of it.

So far, Bugatti Chiron has had the crown for the fastest, most powerful road car in the world. But it seems, the Venom F5 could blast past it at 480 kph, compared to Chiron's sluggish 420 kph or even 463 kph unrestricted. And on top of that, the Chiron is sold at a price almost brushing the $3 million mark.
