BMW Motorrad India recently launched the updated S 1000 RR at a starting price of Rs 20.25 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the same are open and its deliveries will commence in February 2023.

The new BMW S 1000 RR is offered in three variants: Standard, Pro and Pro M Sport. They are priced at Rs 20.25 lakh, Rs 22.15 lakh and Rs 24.45 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively.

BMW Motorrad has updated the electronic aids of the S 1000 RR and it now features M brakes as standard, ABS Pro with new Brake Slide Assist and more.

The motorcycle’s chassis has also been improvised which allows more flexibility laterally. It weighs just 175 kg without battery while the road-ready unladen weight is 197 kg.

The S 1000 RR gets a 6.5-inch TFT display that shows a host of information. It also sports heated grips, cruise control, brake slide assist, slip control, etc.

Powering the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR is a 999cc, four-cylinder, water & oil cooled engine. It features BMW’s ShiftCam technology and is now more powerful than before.

This litre-class motorcycle now churns out 207 bhp as compared to 204 bhp in the outgoing model. The torque remains the same at 113 Nm and the engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

In terms of design, the updated BMW S 1000 RR looks identical to its predecessor but gets new winglets that help in providing aerodynamic downforce. It is offered in three colours: Blackstorm Metallic, Racing Red and Lightwhite BMW M.
