Tata’s added yet another feather to its hat with the latest 5-star rated vehicle, the Punch EV. With the latest release of the Bharat NCAP tests, the Punch EV joins the league that includes the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari in becoming a safe car for the occupants.
The Tata Punch EV scored 31.46 points out of 32 for adult protection and 45 points out of 49 for child protection. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Punch EV scored 15.71 points out of 16 and 15.74 points out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test.
What is to note here is that the Tata Punch variant tested was the top-spec Empowered+ S Long Range. However, the safety score applies to all variants of the Punch EV, as they come standard with 6 airbags across the range.
Other safety features include ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounting points, rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and more. The Tata Punch EV range starts at Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
