Bajaj is set to launch its latest electric offering, the Chetak Premium, in India tomorrow. Although sporting the same design, the Chetak Premium has a lot of new components while also getting a host of updates under its skin. Here’s what to expect from the Chetak Premium EV launch tomorrow.
Ahead of its official launch, many details have surfaced online, from its features to the new battery pack, which promises an upgrade over the current Chetak EV.
Starting with the biggest update, the new Bajaj Chetak Premium gets a new TFT dash, replacing the older LCD unit. The new instrument cluster offers phone connectivity, and navigation, while also allowing the rider to control music and calls. Users can also change the display theme, while the new Chetak Premium now gets hill hold control.
With that done, we move on to the battery pack. The new Bajaj Chetak Premium is likely to get a larger battery pack compared to the current 2.9kWh unit, giving the electric scooter more range. As per details that surfaced, the Chetak will have a claimed 125km range and a top speed of 73kmph.
More details will be revealed tomorrow during its launch and when launched, the Chetak Premium could see a price increase. The Chetak Premium will compete with the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, and other electric scooters in the segment.
