Volkswagen Ameo, the German carmaker’s first sub-4 metre sedan, that made its debut at the Auto Expo 2016 will be launched in July 2016. The company has already announced a 17-city roadshow for the vehicle that will begin from May 12, 2016 and will continue till July 2, 2016. The vehicle’s bookings too will begin from May 12 across all Volkswagen dealerships.

The Volkswagen Ameo will be made available two engine options – 1.2-litre 3-cylinder MPFI petrol and 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TDI diesel. While the petrol mill will come mated to 5-speed manual gearbox, the diesel engine could get both a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The VW Ameo will get dual front airags and ABS as standard fitment across all variants. The car will also get some advanced comfort & convenience features such as cruise control, rain-sensing wipers with static cornering lights.
