2025 will be a busy year for automobile manufacturers, but more so, there will be a slew of launches of cars within Rs 10 lakh. From Tata Motors to Nissan, our list consists of hatchbacks, MPVs and of course SUVs. So before you finalise on buying a new vehicle take a look at the upcoming affordable products.
New Hyundai Venue
Hyundai will launch the next-generation Venue, which also includes the N-Line version. Being a new model, it will be a complete revamp starting from the exterior design like new 16-inch alloy wheels, squarish split headlamp layout, front parking sensors and ADAS suite. The SUV will retain its current three engines — the 1-litre turbo petrol with 118 bhp, 82 bhp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel with 114 bhp.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx hybrid
Timing is everything and with the Delhi Government pushing for concessions on hybrid cars, the Fronx will be quite an attractive option. It will also be the most affordable hybrid vehicle in the country. It will be the third strong hybrid vehicle in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio after the Grand Vitara and the Invicto. The Fronx will get a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which is currently available in the Swift and the Dzire. The Fronx hybrid will be the company’s first independently developed hybrid, not relying on Toyota, and will feature a distinct technology. The powertrain specifications are yet to be disclosed.
Nissan compact MPV
Nissan has recently announced that it will enter the sub-4 metre MPV segment. The new three-row MPV will based on the Renault Triber as it will be based on the CMF-A platform. The Nissan vehicle will be powered by a 1-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated that makes 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. Like the Triber, Nissan may give the 1-litre turbo petrol a miss.
Renault Kiger facelift
Renault’s sub-4 metre SUV, the Kiger, will soon get a much-awaited facelift. The Kiger will get a new and more aggressive front design, which will give the SUV a better road presence. It will sport the new Renault badge in the centre of the front grille. Renault will spruce up the cabin with more features and update the materials. The Kiger will retain the 1-litre naturally aspirated and 1-litre turbo petrol engine.
Tata Altroz facelift
Tata Motors is working on the facelift Altroz and the hatchback will soon make its debut. As it’s a mid-life update, the car will get minor upgrades like refreshed front fascia, new bumpers, tweaked headlamps and new alloy wheels. Altroz will be available in multiple powertrain options like petrol, diesel and CNG.
