The mid-size SUV segment is one of the highest selling segments in the entire passenger vehicle market.

- Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta continued its reign in the Indian passenger vehicle market and the SUV space with over 13,832 units of the Creat sold by the Korean automobile giant. This led to a YoY growth of 10% but its MoM figures dropped marginally by 1.64%. Hyundai will be bringing a facelifted version of Creta possibly early next year.
- Maruti Grand Vitara
Maruti Suzuki ate a large chunk of this pie when it launched the Grand Vitara in October last year. It currently stands at the second spot in the best selling mid-size SUV segment with a total monthly volume of 11,818 units in August 2023. In July this year, Maruti sold 9,079 units of Grand Vitara which translates to an MoM growth of over 30%.
- Kia Seltos
Kia dispatched 10,698 units of Seltos in August this year which resulted in a YoY growth of 24% and a MoM growth of 9.84%. The SUV received a comprehensive facelift in July this year which added new features to Seltos’ equipment and updated powertrain options.
- Mahindra Scorpio
Mahindra introduced the Scorpio N, an evolution over the previous iterations of Scorpio, last year. Since then, the sales of Scorpio have gained momentum. The company continues to sell the older generation model in the form of Scorpio Classic. The total sales volume of Scorpio range for August 2023 stands at 9898 units that witnessed a significant YoY growth of 40%.
- Mahindra XUV700
Mahindra features in the list again with the XUV700 which garnered a volume of 6,512 units in August this year. The SUV witnessed YoY and MoM growths of 8% and 5.44%, respectively.
