Best-selling SUVs in June 2024: Three popular SUVs have registered positive growth in June and they are from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata.

SUVs are becoming top sellers for carmakers in India, from entry-level offerings such as micro SUVs to larger luxury ones. Mercedes-Benz is a good example, as for the first half of this year, SUVs accounted for 55 percent of its sales. That said, other OEMs are also riding the SUV wave and here are the top 3 best-selling SUVs in June 2024.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The third-best-selling SUV in June 2024 was the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, having sold 13,172 units compared to 10,578 units in June 2023, registering a healthy 25 percent YoY growth. However, for Maruti Suzuki, hatchbacks remain the best-sellers as the Swift was the best-seller for the carmaker in June 2024, followed by the Ertiga.

The Hyundai Creta has been a best-seller for the South Korean carmaker ever since its launch many years ago. Last month, Hyundai registered sales of 16,293 units of the Creta compared to 14,447 units sold in June 2023, registering a YoY growth of 13 percent. Hyundai has also regained its position as the second largest carmaker in India, thanks to the updated Creta.

Size does not always matter and the Tata Punch has managed to punch above its weight more than once in the last few months. The entry-level SUV offering from Tata is available in ICE form and EV form, giving it a wide customer base that has helped the carmaker sell 18,238 units in June 2024 compared to 10,990 units in June 2023, witnessing a 66 percent YoY growth.
