Tata Tiago prices increased by Rs 8,000, features remain unchanged

Tata Motors has increased the prices of the Tiago hatchback by Rs 8,000 across all variants. The firm launched the car at a price of Rs.3.2 lakh-Rs 5.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Tata Motors has increased the prices of the Tiago hatchback by Rs 8,000 across all variants. The firm launched the car at a price of Rs.3.2 lakh-Rs 5.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The homegrown automaker launched the Tiago this year with two engine options – Revotron (Petrol) and Revotorq (Diesel). The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2 L, Revotron motor, which produces 83.80 hp of power and 114Nm of peak torque. The Revotorq engine produces 69hp of power and 140Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company is reportedly working on an AMT variant of the Tiago, which might be launched by 2016.

Since its launch, the car has received over 40,000 bookings. Last month, the company registered 38% increase in its domestic sales as it sold 5,114 units of the Tiago. In order to cater to the demand of the waiting period of the car, TATA is planning to reschedule its production plans at the Sanand facility.

Tiago is one of the best-equipped cars in its segment with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, cornering stability and rear parking sensors. The car is available in 6 colours – Sunburst Orange, Pearl Scent White, Espresso Brown, Striker Blue, Platinum Silver, Berry Red.
