The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga currently stands as the leader in the budget MPV segment. This engine is paired to Suzuki’s mild-hybrid SHVS system. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. In addition to this, it comes with a 4-speed torque converter automatic on select variants. The diesel derivative of the Ertiga is offered with 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder unit which is good for 93 hp of power along with 225 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
