Nissan Magnite has turned to the dark side with the new Kuro edition. Based on the all-black theme, the Magnite Kuro made its debut on October 7th. Nissan opened the bookings for the Kuro edition in September at a nominal fee of Rs 11,000.

Nissan Magnite Kuro: Exteriors

The Magnite Kuro comes with a number of distinctive design elements that sets it apart from the standard Magnite. The Nissan compact SUV always had a bold exterior but now with a sinister piano black grille and darked out skid plate, the elongated L-shaped LED DRLs stand out further. Even the headlamp cluster gets a black finish. To add a touch of sportiness, the gun metal alloys get red brake calipers, black door handles and a custom Magnite Kuro badge under the A-pillar.

The all-black theme continues in the cabin as well. It sports dark roof liner, sun visor, gear lever, door handles and air condition vents. With a blacked out dashboard, door trims and door inserts, the colour manages to conceal the aging plastic quality. The Kuro edition is based on the XV trim and comes with features like 360 degree camera, front armrest, rear AC vent, wireless charger and a wider IRVM, which is very helpful.

Nissan Magnite Kuro: Engine and Variants

The Magnite Kuro will come in two engine options — the 71bhp 1-litre naturally aspirated with 96Nm and the 1-litre turbo petrol with an output of 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. The Kuro edition will be available in all four powertrains starting from the 1-litre NA engine in both manual and AMT and with manual gearbox and CVT for the 1-litre turbo.
