New Toyota Innova Crysta finally made its India debut at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016 The all-new Toyota Innova Crysta made its debut in India on the first day of the Auto Expo 2016 – the Motor Show. The new-generation model of the country’s top-selling MPV receives all-new design, platform, features and engine and is more premium than the existing model. The launch of the 2016 Toyota Innova Crysta will take place sometime later this year. The new Toyota Innova Crysta is built on a new platform called ‘Toyota New Global Architecture’ (TNGA) that is claimed to be stiffer than that of the current model despite being lighter. The upcoming new Toyota Fortuner is also built on the same paltform. While the Indonesian model of the Toyota Innova 2016 comes in both petrol and diesel engine option, the India-bound model might only get a 2.4-litre GD diesel engine. Capable of producing 147bhp and 360Nm, this engine will be made available in both automatic and manual transmission options.
