After making its global debut in September 2024, the second generation of Skoda Kodiaq has been launched in India. Available in two trims: Laurin & Klement (L&K) and Sportline, Skoda has priced the new Kodiaq Rs 46.89 lakh and Rs 48.69 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively.
The latest iteration of the Kodiaq gets several subtle yet notable upgrades over the outgoing model. Like the previous model, the second-gen Kodiaq is assembled at the Volkswagen Group’s facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits.
New-gen Skoda Kodiaq: Exterior Design
The new Kodiaq receives a refined evolutionary design update over its predecessor, showcasing Skoda’s signature butterfly grille at the front, now paired with sleek LED Beam Crystallinium headlamps that feature a Welcome Effect. On the L&K trim, the grille is finished in dark chrome, while the Sportline variant sports a gloss black version, adding to its dynamic character. The Sportline further enhances its sporty appeal with blacked-out styling elements.
At the rear, a faux blacked-out diffuser with a slim chrome accent adds a touch of sophistication to the bumper. While both variants feature distinct dual-tone alloy wheel designs, the differences are subtle. Each model also proudly displays a ‘4×4’ badge on the tailgate.
Aside from these trim-specific touches, the overall design remains consistent across variants. Shared highlights include the split headlight setup with larger main clusters and integrated LED DRLs, C-shaped LED taillights, bold Skoda lettering, a roof-mounted spoiler, and optional D-pillar trim. Further, the new-gen Kodiaq is 59 mm longer than its previous model with an overall length of 4,758mm.

Width (mm) | 1,864 |
Height (mm) | 1,679 |

Ground Clearance (mm) | 155 |

The new Skoda Kodiaq is available in six colour options: Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Grey, Velvet Red, Race Blue. The Selection L&K gets an exclusive Bronx Gold and the Sportline gets an exclusive Steel Grey.
New-gen Skoda Kodiaq: Interiors & Features
Skoda is offering the Kodiaq with two distinct interior themes: an all-black sporty décor for the Sportline variant and premium Cognac leather upholstery in the Selection L&K trim. However, the cabin design and layout remains the same for both variants. Skoda has made some ergonomic adjustments in the new Kodiaq’s cabin like a re-positioned gear selector behind the steering wheel for improved accessibility and a tablet holder for rear-seat passengers.
Standout features of the new Kodiaq include a large 13-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, advanced LED matrix headlamps, and a fully digital instrument cluster. Comfort and convenience are elevated with dual-zone climate control, ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and an electrically operated tailgate. The cabin experience is further enhanced by multi-color ambient lighting and a 13-speaker Canton sound system. Safety and driving ease are boosted with nine airbags and Level 2 ADAS features.
New-gen Skoda Kodiaq: Powertrain
Based on the MQB37 platform, the second-gen Skoda Kodiaq draws power from the same 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that kicks out an impressive 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a standard 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. All-wheel drive is offered as standard for both trims. Skoda claims a fuel efficiency of 14.86 kmpl (ARAI).
