MG has officially teased the Hector Blackstorm ahead of its official launch scheduled on April 10. The new Hector Blackstorm will be finished in all black, similar to the MG Astor and Gloster Blackstorm editions. The teaser image reveals a few more details and let’s take a closer look.

To start with, the exterior is finished in all black, living up to the Blackstorm name. The SUV’s front grille is finished in dark chrome, while it gets Piano Black roof rails and headlamp bezels. The tail lamps get a smoked finish and the SUV gets 18-inch alloy wheels in black with red brake callipers and a ‘Blackstorm’ logo on the side panel.

Adding to the design elements will be red accents on the front bumper and ORVMs, and other body parts of the Hector Blackstorm, giving it a sporty look.

Inside, the colour theme is expected to continue with a black interior and upholstery with red accents. The Hector will feature a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and hill assist amongst other safety features.

In terms of power, the Hector Blackstorm will continue to be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit. When launched, the new MG Hector Blackstorm will compete with the Hyundai N Line, Kia Seltos X Line, and the Tata Harrier Dark Edition.
