MAN Trucks India has just unveiled its new CLA BS-IV Bus Chassis range in Bengaluru. The said product is available in two models 18.250 (4×2) and 22.300 (6×2) multi-axle. The company has joined hands with three leading bus body builders in order to offer different innovative body designs to the customers. The new CLA BS-IV bus chassis models with front mounted engine are manufactured at the company’s manufacturing facility in Pithampur that is situated near Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The CLA bus chassis are designed for intercity coach application. MAN says that a robust structure using tried and tested components in the chassis & driveline create the prerequisites for high reliability and longer product life. The new CLA BS-IV bus chassis are backed by BS-IV compliant 250 hp & 300 hp MAN D-0836 engines that come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Air actuated drum brakes and an anti-lock braking system (ABS) are on offer to offer a safe and effective braking. The company says that its retarder and the patented engine valve brake provide enhanced braking efficiency and improved brake life. The brand further added that the new CLA BS-IV chassis has been designed to incorporate the full range of comfort and safety at the driver’s workplace, in turn, making the journey much safer even under tough operating conditions.
