At the beginning of July, Mahindra had removed the Marazzo from its official website, sparking rumours and premature obituaries for the MPV, speculating on its inability to succeed in the market. However, Mahindra has quelled these rumours by reinstating the Marazzo on the website, complete with new and updated pricing.
Mahindra Marazzo: Still alive and kicking
Let’s be honest, Marazzo’s sales have been dwindling for some time as it only sold 12 units in June 2024, but Mahindra still wants to be present in the MPV segment. The Marazzo now receives around Rs 20,000 price hike across the range and is available as a 7-and-8 seater. Each version of the MPV gets three variants each.

Mahindra Marazzo: Stumbling block
The Marazzo is a spacious and practical MPV but Mahindra has not updated the vehicle in a long time. Apart from this, it has two big issues that go against it. One is that it is only available in diesel while its immediate rivals like Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the XL6 get petrol engines. The Kia Carens, on the other, offers both petrol and diesel powertrains. The other Kryptonite is that the Marazzo only gets a manual transmission while the rest of the competition offers an automatic as well.
The Marazzo is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a power output of 121 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
