Lexus has brought the Overtrail programme to India with the launch of the NX 350h Overtrail Edition. This special edition model is priced at Rs 71.70 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available for sale in all Lexus Guest Experience Centres across the country. As the name suggests, the Overtrail edition gets more outdoorsy treatment over the standard NX 350h.

The NX 350h Overtrail Edition sits below the Luxury and F-sport trims, with certain tweaks that make it more compliant with adventurous lifestyles. It exceeds the price of the Exquisite trim by Rs. 3.82 lakh. Since it isn’t a facelift, there are no changes in design of the NX.

Lexus NX 350h Overtrail: What’s new?

The Lexus 350h Overtrail edition comes in a single, exclusive paint shade called ‘Moon Desert which feels familiar to the recently launched Mahindra Thar Edition. Complementing the paint scheme are all-black elements including front grille, ORVMs, door handles and roof rails, which add a nice contrast sportiness to the overall look.

Lexus has used a new set of alloys and tyres for the Overtrail Edition of NX 350h. The crossover rolls on 18-inch matte black alloys shod with thicker 235/60-section tyres.

Step inside the cabin, and the interiors also greet you with an earthy vibe courtesy of an exclusive Geo Layer door trim which Lexus says is inspired by the shades of nature. The door trim is inspired by nature, shaping a luxurious outdoor experience that touches all five senses. The earthen highlights are also carried forward to the upholstery, dashboard trim, and armrest.

Lexus NX 350h Overtrail: What remains same?

In terms of features, it gets the same equipment as the higher-spec F-sport trim with features such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a heating function, electrically adjustable seats, ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, Mark Levinson 17-speaker audio system, connected car tech, and an ADAS suite.

Powering the Lexus is a hybrid powertrain featuring a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with twin electric motors resulting in a combined output of 179 kW (240 bhp). Power is transferred to all wheels via a 6-step e-CVT gearbox. The Overtrail edition also benefits from the brand’s variable dampers system which is available in the top-spec  F Sport trim.
