Kia launched the Carens Clavis a couple of weeks ago as a more premium and advanced version of the existing Carens. A couple of days ago, Kia revealed its monthly sales figures for May 2025 through a media release. In the release, the South Korean carmaker announced that it will launch another new product in July this year.
The media release from Kia states, “… the company is gearing up to unveil its next innovation in the coming July. Designed to disrupt its segment, the upcoming offering will seamlessly blend sustainability with Kia’s design excellence and advanced technology, thoughtfully engineered to meet the evolving mobility aspirations of Indian consumers.”
In all probability, this will be the all-electric Carens Clavis that has been spotted testing on a few occasions in the recent past. Kia has earlier confirmed that the company is developing ICE and EV versions of the Carens Clavis simultaneously which are expected to come out within a gap of a few weeks.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Expected Design & Features
Visually, the Kia Carens Clavis EV will be almost identical to its ICE sibling, barring a different branding and new set of aero alloy wheels. At the front, it is expected to feature triple-pod LED headlamps housed in a triangular casing, sharp LED daytime running lights, a sealed front grille, and additional design elements.
Inside the cabin, the Clavis EV is also expected to feature the same layout, highlighted by a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display that combines the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Other expected features include front ventilated seats, a 4-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless charging pad, an 8-speaker BOSE premium sound system, and ambient lighting.

Safety will be handled by Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, high beam assist, driver attention warning etc. Additional safety features expected in the package include a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, a dual-camera dash cam, and a 360° camera with a blind view monitor displayed on the instrument cluster. Notably, the Clavis EV will also offer two extra features: Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Expected Battery & Motor specs
The upcoming Kia Clavis EV is expected to be based on the same platform as the Hyundai Creta Electric and hence, it is likely to share the battery and motor with the latter. The all-electric Creta offers two capacities: 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The 42kWh variant is paired with a 135hp electric motor, delivering a range of 390km, while the larger 51.4kWh battery powers a 171hp motor and provides a range of up to 473km.
