India’s first mass-market electric MPV, the Kia Carens Clavis EV, has now commenced bookings in all its dealerships across the country. The all-electric MPV can be booked for Rs 25,000. Kia had earlier launched the EV, which starts from Rs 17.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Battery and Power Specs
The Carens Clavis EV is available in two battery options — 42 kWh and the 51.4 kWh battery pack, like its cousin, the Hyundai Creta Electric. According to MIDC certifications, the entry-level battery offers a 404 km range, and the top range returns 490 km (MIDC). The standard range battery has an output of 133 bhp and 250 Nm, and the long-range version produces 169 bhp and 250 Nm.
Moving on to charging, the 42 kWh charges from 10% to 100% in 4 hours with an 11 kW AC, while the 51.4 kWh does so in 4.45 hours. Both the batteries juice up 10% to 100% in 39 minutes with a 100 kW DC charger.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Features
Kia has used premium materials like soft-touch and leatherette upholstery with two 12.25-inch displays — the infotainment system and instrument cluster. It gets ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose music system, an air purifier, a 4-way power electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree camera and a switchable infotainment and temperature control touch command.
The 7-seater EV is equipped with Level 2 ADAS with 20 safety features, six airbags, an Anti-Lock Brake System, a Brake Assist System, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill-Start Assist Control, Emergency Stop Signal, Downhill Brake Control, tyre pressure sensors, rear parking sensors and all-wheel disc brakes.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Price and Variants
The Carens Clavis EV is available in four variants: HTK+, HTX, HTX ER and HTX+ ER. The EV comes with six colour options — Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, and Ivory Silver Matte.
