Hyundai Venue gets new S(O)+ variant with sunroof, priced at Rs 10 lakh

Hyundai has announced the launch of a new variant to the Venue lineup. Called the ‘S(O)+’, this new variant is priced at Rs 9,99,900 (ex-showroom) and, making it the most affordable variant to be offered with an electric sunroof. The new variant sits between the S(O) and SX variants which are priced at Rs 9.89 lakh and Rs 11.05 lakh, (both ex-showroom), respectively.

The S(O)+ trim only gets the electric sunroof over the S(O) trim, rest of the features are identical to the latter. The new variant comes equipped with features like: Smart Electric sunroof, LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, digital cluster with colour TFT Multi Information Display (MID), and etc.

When it comes to safety, the new Venue S(O) + variant boasts of safety features like: six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, Automatic headlamps, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), rear camera and much more. 

Powering the Venue S(O)+ is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Kappa petrol engine which kicks out 82 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. In this variant, the engine is paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. Other engine options include a 1.0-litre GDI turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
