Customers will have to shell out more for Hyundai and Renault vehicle from April 2025 as both the automobile companies have announced a price hike across their lineup. In the last couple of days, several leading manufacturers have announced an increase in price like Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Tata Motors and Kia. The automakers cited rising input costs, increased commodity prices, and higher operational expenses as key factors driving the decision.

Hyundai to raise prices by up to 3%

Hyundai has confirmed a price hike of up to 3% across its lineup. The price revision will vary depending on the model and variant. Speaking on the development, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL, stated, “At Hyundai Motor India Limited, we strive to absorb rising costs to the extent possible, ensuring minimal impact on our customers.

However, with the sustained increase in operational expenses, it has now become imperative to pass on a part of this cost escalation through a minor price adjustment.” Despite the hike, Hyundai reaffirmed its commitment to delivering value-driven vehicles and ensuring that future cost escalations are managed as effectively as possible.

Renault India to increase prices by 2%

Renault India has joined the bandwagon and has announced a price hike of up to 2%, effective April 2025. The increase will apply across all models, with the extent varying based on the variant. This marks the first price revision by Renault India since February 2023.

Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India, explained the rationale behind the decision, saying, “Despite our best efforts to maintain prices for a long time, the sustained increase in input costs has necessitated this price adjustment. We have been absorbing these costs to support our customers, but to continue providing the best quality and innovative products, a price revision has become inevitable.”
