Hyundai will launch the Alcazar facelift on September 9 and the South Korean carmaker has started its promotional campaign for the vehicle on its social media handles and television with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan spearheading the campaign. Bookings for the updated Alcazar have already commenced at a token amount of Rs 25,000.
The three-row SUV will come in four variants—Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature, and it will be offered in nine colour options. While Hyundai has already teased multiple new features in the upcoming iteration of Alcazar in its recent teasers, the carmaker has now revealed the set of new features to be offered in Alcazar.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: New features
The most prominent feature in the Alcazar is the new digital key with NFC technology which was revealed in one of the earlier teasers featuring SRK. This feature allows you to unlock the doors by a simple tap on the door handle via a smartphone or a smartwatch.. The technology also allows the customer to drive and share the Digital Key with up to 3 different users or up to 7 linked devices at a time.
Inside the cabin, the new Alcazar gets a familiar twin-screen setup featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch driver’s instrument cluster. The infotainment is in-built with navigation along with multi language Ul display. The other big addition is dual-zone automatic climate control with touch type AC control panel.
Hyundai will offer over 70 connected car features in the new Alcazar via the BlueLink app. The upcoming iteration of the SUV will come equipped with 270+ embedded VR commands, catering to diverse user preferences with Hinglish and Hindi voice commands. In addition, the new Hyundai ALCAZAR will also offer 10 ambient sounds of nature including Lively forest, On a sailing Ship, City at dawn, etc.
Other convenience features include rain-sensing wipers, 8-speaker Bose Premium sound system, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, 2nd row wireless charger, magnetic pad, and much more. Further, higher variants of the 2024 Alcazar will boast of Level 2 ADAS offering 19 features like Forward Collision Avoid Assistance for vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, Junction Turning, adaptive cruise control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and much more.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Powertrain specs
The upcoming Hyundai Alcazar facelift will be available in two engine options — a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel.The 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit pumps out 158 bhp and 253 Nm. The Alcazar will come with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission option. The oil burner develops 114 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. This unit is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.
