Dark Knight Rises: Mahindra launches Scorpio-N Carbon

The Scorpio-N Carbon is offered in two trims — Z8 and Z8 L — with both petrol and diesel engine options available.

Mahindra has introduced the Scorpio-N Carbon Edition, priced from Rs 19.19 lakh, ex-showroom. This new edition, aimed at off-roading enthusiasts, is available in Z8 and Z8 L variants with both automatic and manual transmissions, and features 4-wheel drive.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Carbon: Design

The Scorpio-N Carbon sports an all-black theme including the alloy wheels, roof rails and skid plates. To add a touch of premiumness, Mahindra has introduced smoked chrome inserts on door handles, front grille, tail lamps and inside the headlamp cluster. Both models get all LED lights including indicators.

The cabin is all-black including the dashboard which has a leatherette finish and the leatherette upholstery. It is equipped with an auto-dimming bezel-less outside rearview mirror, front ventilated seats, wireless charging, 12-speaker Sony Sound System, wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The inside door handles and the centre console come in a dark silver finish. 

Mahindra Scorpio-N Carbon: Safety

The Scorpio-N is packed with state-of-the-art safety features and was awarded a 5-star crash test rating from Global NCAP. It comes with six airbags, ABS with EBS, electronic stability control, hill hold control and hill descent control, parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, all four disc brakes and a rear parking camera. 

Mahindra Scorpio-N Carbon: Engine and Price

The Scorpio-N Carbon offers two engine options — the 2-litre petrol and the 2.2-litre diesel. The petrol produces 200 bhp and 370 Nm for manual and 380 Nm for automatic. The diesel, on the other hand, churns out 172 bhp and 370 Nm for manual and 400 Nm for automatic. Both the engines come mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter.
