The BYD launched the eMAX7 at Rs 26.90 lakh , which is the facelifted version of the e6 all-electric MPV. The EV manufacturer opened the bookings on September 21 at Rs 51,000 which also includes a complimentary 7 kW, 3 kW charger upon delivery for customers who booked the eMAX7 by October 8, 2024 and will take delivery before or by March 25, 2025.

BYD eMAX7: Battery Specs

The eMAX7 will be available with a choice of two battery packs — 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh. BYD has not yet confirmed the battery power and drive range, but the 71.8 kWh battery is already available in the Indian market as the e6 is powered by it. Based on that, the 71.8 kWh offers 530 km on a single charge and has a dual motor set-up with an output of 201 bhp. This is a massive bump of 107 bhp as the e6 produced 94 bhp. The more affordable model is powered by a 55.4 kWh battery that churns out 161 bhp with a range of 420 km on a single charge. Both the batteries have a torque of 310 Nm.

BYD eMAX7: Design

The eMAX7 is a wicked-looking MPV as the edgy design language ensures it isn’t your run-of-the-mill soccer mom vehicle. The front has a clean and uncluttered layout with mild character lines on the hood and a subtle front nose with swept-back LED headlights. The front bumper brings a bit of aggression to the eMAX7’s composition with a big air dam. The side profile gets a couple of bold character lines — one runs across from the A-pillar to tail lamps while the other one in on the lower part of the doors. The rear compliments the front with a simple and clean design along with connected LED tail lights. What will be a super hit is the eMAX7’s all-glass roof.

BYD eMAX7: Cabin and Features

Unlike the e6, the eMAX7 is a three-row MPV which is offered as a 6-or-7-seater. The dashboard receives subtle updates apart from the massive 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen replacing the e6’s 10.1-inch display. Apart from that there are now two wireless phone charging pads, leatherette seats with ventilated features, a new drive knob, an electrically powered tailgate and a 360-degree camera. For better air circulation, the rear seats get roof-mounted vents.
