Bentley Motors, the British Luxury car marque, will launch its first-ever SUV Bentayga in India on April 22, 2016. Claimed to be the ‘fastest and most luxurious SUV in the world’, the Bentley Bentayga has been designed, engineered and hand-crafted at the company’s headquarters in Crewe, UK.
The Bentley Bentayga SUV features an all-new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine which too has been developed in Crewe. Producing 600bhp and 900Nm, this 12-cylinder engine helps the vehicle touch the 100kmph mark from standstill in mere 4.1 seconds at a top-speed of 301kmph. This makes the Bentayga the world’s most powerful and fastest SUV.
Bentley’s Drive Dynamics Mode and optional Responsive Off-road Setting offers the Bentayga the widest range of on and off-road drive settings. The vehicle gets a total of eight modes which allows drivers to select the perfect setup for any road condition. Other high-end features that help better the driving experience are – Bentley Dynamic Ride (electrically activated 48V active roll control), Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) including Stop & Go, Predictive ACC and Traffic Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning, Park Assist, Electronic Night Vision, 8” touch screen infotainment system with 60GB hard drive and a choice of up to 30 languages.
Similar to the global model, the India-bound Bentayga will also get several personalisation options. A buyer can choose anything from paint, leather to different features as per his/her choice. The standard palette along gets 17 exterior pain colours, with up to 90 hues in the extended range. Moreover, there are 15 carpet options, seven handrafted veneers and 15 interior trim hide. In addition to the aforementioned options, customers can choose between a bunch of bespoke Bentayga alloys ranging in size from 20 to 22-inches.
