Bentley Motors, the British super luxury carmaker, on Friday launched its SUV Bentayga in India at a starting price of Rs 3.85 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The first delivery of the vehicle will take about 2 week from now. It usually takes about 5 months for a Bentley car to be delivered after the order is placed.
Claimed to be the ‘fastest, most powerful & luxurious SUV in the world’, the Bentley Bentayga has been hand-crafted at the carmaker’s headquarters in Crewe, UK.
Power for the Bentley Bentayga comes from an all-new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine that has also been developed in Crewe. This 12-cylinder powertrain churns out a massive 600bhp and 900Nm, and helps the vehicle touch the 100kmph mark from zero in just 4.1 seconds. The vehicle offers a top-speed of 301kmph.
The Bentley Bantayga offers the widest range of on and off-road drive setting thanks to Bentley’s Drive Dynamics mode and optional off-road settings. The Bentley SUV offer eight driving modes, thus allowing everyone to select the perfect setup for any terrain conditions. Other features on offer are – Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) including Stop & Go, Predictive ACC and Traffic Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning, Park Assist, Electronic Night Vision, 8” touch screen infotainment system with 60GB hard drive and a choice of up to 30 languages.
Similar to the international model, the Indian model also comes with multiple personalisation options. The standard palette gets 17 exterior paint colours and up to 90 hues in the extended range. Additionally, there are 15 carpet options, 15 choices of interior trim hide, seven handcrafted veeners. A buyer can also choose between a range of bespoke Bentayga alloys ranging in size from 20 to 22-inches.
