Duster will get a grand makeover very soon. The third-generation Duster will be making its global debut on November 29. Ahead of its debut, design sketches of the upcoming new-gen Duster have leaked online. Test mules of the mid-size SUV have already been spotted during trial runs in foreign countries.
While in Europe, Duster is retailed under the Romania-based brand Dacia, in other major international markets it is branded under Renault, which also happens to be Dacia’s parent company. The latest design sketches give us a fair idea of what to expect of the upcoming version of Duster in the visual aspect.
2025 Renault Duster design sketches
The third-gen Renault Duster has been in the making for a long time. It will be based on the Dacia Bigster SUV concept unveiled a couple of years ago. While it carries a familiar silhouette as the earlier models, the new-gen Duster is expected to flaunt some interesting visual updates including revised front fascia with rectangular headlamps featuring Y-shaped LED elements.
The connected LED element across the bonnet looks contemporary but a DC branding at the centre gives it a distinctive look. The design sketches show a rugged front bumper housing a bash plate and squarish fog lamps. Highlights on the side profile include flared wheel arches, claddings on door sills, and flat roofline with a luggage rack, which will most probably be an accessory.
Another interesting visual shown in the design sketch is a tailgate-mounted spare wheel which is likely to be a market-specific feature. The Y-shaped LED elements are carried over to the taillamps. It will be interesting to see how many of these visual highlights make it to the final production-spec model.
2025 Renault Duster: Expected India launch
To be underpinned by Renault’s CMF-B platform, the upcoming Duster is expected to be longer than its predecessor. In fact, it is expected to come as a three-row version in some markets. Besides this, the new Duster will also be rebadged into two Nissan models.
Duster in India was first launched in India 2013 but never got any major upgrades throughout its lifespan in India. Eventually, it got discontinued in 2022 after years of poor sales and tough competition from rivals. Renault is expected to bring the third-gen Duster to India probably by 2025.
