The updated version of the Urus, called the Lamborghini Urus SE, which made its global debut in April, will be launched in India on August 9. As part of the mid-life facelift, the Urus also gets mechanical changes, most importantly, to its engine. So let’s take a closer look at what’s changed.
Lamborghini Urus SE: What’s new?
On the design front, the new Urus SE gets subtle changes and the most notable one is the new DRL pattern, which replaces the older Y-shaped ones. The Urus retains its angular design and large air dams that give it a muscular appearance, along with the chunky wheel arches and sleek lights.
The biggest change is under the hood — the Lamborghini Urus SE draws power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mated to a 25.9kWh battery pack and an electric motor. The former makes 620bhp and 800Nm of torque, while the electric motor makes 189bhp and 483Nm of torque. The Urus can run on electric mode only for 60km with a top speed of 130kmph, while an eight-speed gearbox drives the wheels.
Other bits include an electronic rear differential, recalibrated drive modes, electric torque vectoring system, and more, while Lamborghini says that the new Urus SE is 15 percent more aerodynamic while having 35 percent more downforce compared to the model it replaces.
The interior gets a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital cockpit, redesigned AC vents, and a long list of personalisation options. The new Lamborghini Urus SE also gets air suspension as standard.
