Hyundai is gearing up to launch the updated Creta next month. Earlier we reported that the Korean auto giant will unveil the facelifted Creta on 16 January 2024. Over the past few months, test mules of the upcoming iteration of Creta have been spotted on numerous instances.
With its debut around the corner, Hyundai continues to test the updated Creta on Indian roads. The latest set of spy shots have reportedly been clicked at Shimla and reveal some new visual details about the upcoming iteration of the compact SUV.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Updated design
The latest set of spy images highlight the rear end of the SUV which reveal that the Creta facelift will receive in-trend connected LED taillights with revised inverted L-shaped units. The other two noticeable highlights at the rear are a high-mounted brake lamp integrated with the rear spoiler, and a tailgate-mounted registration plate. As a result, the Hyundai logo is slightly repositioned.
Besides, both front and rear bumpers are heavily reprofiled. As reported earlier, the front fascia will be completely revamped courtesy of redesigned grille and LED headlamps. Also, the nose will be flatter than the outgoing model. The other big change will be newly designed 5-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Features additions
In terms of features, Hyundai is expected to add more features to the equipment. These include a 360-degree surround camera, blind spot monitor, powered front seats with ventilation, fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, redesigned HVAC controls, etc.
However, the biggest addition will be Level 2 ADAS which can be confirmed by the sensor mounted on the front bumper. It will offer a host of advanced safety features like automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist,lane change warning, etc. Other safety equipment on offer will include six airbags as standard, traction control, and hill-hold assist.

2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Powertrain options
Hyundai is most likely to retain the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine for the new Creta. The former puts out 114 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque while the latter delivers 114 bhp and 250 Nm. The 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol motor discontinued earlier this year will be replaced by a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol unit.
The power mill, also offered in Hyundai Verna and Kia Setos, dishes out 158 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, a CVT automatic, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a six-speed clutchless manual.
