2022 Kia EV6 Launch in India, Range, Top Speed, Interior Images Highlights: The all-new Kia EV6 is launched in India at Rs 59.95 lakh, ex-showroom. Although only 100 units of the 2022 Kia EV6 were limited in India, the carmaker has received 355 bookings so far. Kia has also installed 150kW chargers in 15 EV-specific dealerships across 12 cities in India, and deliveries will begin in September.
The Kia EV6 will come to India through CBU (Completely Built Unit) route and the Korean carmaker will initially bring the first batch of 100 units of the electric crossover. It is based on Hyundai’s dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) as Hyundai Ioniq 5. The Kia EV6 will feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a three-pin socket under the back seat and electric sunroof. The Kia EV6 will also offer a good set of safety features with the ADAS system.
The Kia EV6 will be offered with as many as 8 airbags, a 360 degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, ABS, ESC, VSM, Hill-start control, emergency stop signal and more. It also gets Kia's 2 level ADAS system.
Kia India is offering 3 years of 24×7 RSA service to its customers.
Kia EV6 will be offered with ultra-fast charging options and claims to add upto 100kms in just 4.5 minutes, using a fast charger. 15 Kia dealerships will be equipped with 150kW fast chargers that can juice up the EV6 from 10% to 80% in around 40 minutes. Using a 350 kW fast charger, it takes 18 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%, whereas a 50kW charger takes 73 minutes to do the same. It can also be a power source for appliances, tools and devices like a computer, tv etc.
Kia will begin deliveries for the EV6 from September 2022. It will be available across 12 cities and 15 dealerships across India.
The Kia EV6 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 59.95 lakh, ex-showroom. It is offered in 2 variants – GT RWD and AWD versions. The top-spec model is priced at Rs. 64.96 lakh, ex-showroom.
The company has received 355 bookings for the EV6 so far, which is more than what the carmaker had intended to sell in India. The carmaker has set up 150kW chargers in 15 EV-specific dealerships in 12 cities

The Kia EV6 comes equipped with 8 airbags as standard along with All Wheel Disc Brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Multi Collision Brake Assist (MCBA), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Brake Assistant System (BAS), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Front and Rear parking sensors and ISOFIX Child Anchor.
The Kia EV6 gets an all-black interior with black suede seat and vegan leather bolsters. The Kia EV6 will be available in India with a choice of five exterior colours – Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Yacht Blue, Moonscape and Snow White Pear.
Kia EV6 is likely to be offered in two variants, namely GT and GT-Line AWD. One of the most significant differences between the two is that the GT version has a maximum output of 229 hp and 350 Nm torque, while GT-Line AWD is the more powerful version, capable of a maximum output of 347 hp and 605 Nm torque.
The Kia EV6 claims a WLTP range of 500 kms on a single charge.
