Land Rover has launched the 2017 Range Rover Evoque with a new diesel engine and features between a price of Rs 49.1 to Rs 67.9 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The new Evoque is the first Land Rover model in India to be powered by the 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel engine. This new generation of engines is claimed to be about 20 kg lighter than its predecessor, while being more responsive. The Evoque will also be offered with an Ingenium 2.0 litre petrol engine and both engines will be offered with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive. Both, the diesel and petrol engine develop 177 hp of peak power.
On the exterior, the 2017 Evoque gets Adaptive LED headlights with LED Signature Lighting, with the former function enabling the headlamps to follow the steering inputs, thereby lighting up curves quicker and better. Changes are more extensive inside the cabin as one gets Oxford leather seats on the HSE and HSE Dynamic variants. A notable addition inside the cabin include a 10-inch touchscreen, which offers 80% more pixels than the standard 8-inch screen, translating into a crisper display. The infotainment functions can be accessed through the new InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. This technology optimises in-car connectivity by providing faster responses and a more intuitive operation, which should be a boon since the older system at times proved to be quite slow along with a complex user-interface. Other new features include an 825 W Meridian Surround Sound System, Head-Up Display, InControl Apps and Powered Gesture Tailgate.

The company has also launched an exclusive Ember Special Edition of the 2017 Evoque, which features a Firenze Red roof and the exterior draped in Santorini Black colour. The cabin features Ebony black seats with a contrasting Pimeno red stitching.
At the launch, Land Rover India announced that it’ll launch the 2017 Range Rover Evoque with the 2.0 litre Si4 petrol engine in January, 2017. The turbocharged Si4 petrol engine develops 237 hp and should appeal to those looking for higher performance attributes and four-wheel drive in one package.
