Kawasaki will be launching the updated Ninja 1100 SX in India sometime this month, as per multiple reports. The litre-class sports tourer will replace the Ninja 1000 which was discontinued in February 2024. With the launch of the updated version, it only makes sense for Kawasaki to sell the motorcycle in India as well.
New Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX — What’s new?
The biggest upgrade with the new motorcycle is the engine — as the name suggests, the Ninja 1100 gets a larger 1099cc in-line four-cylinder engine replacing the older 1043cc unit. However, there is a change in power — the older engine made 142bhp while the new engine on the 1100 X makes 135bhp. The new Ninja 1100 SX also gets a larger rear sprocket, improving its acceleration.

New Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX — What’s carried over?
The bodywork on the new Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX largely remains unchanged and so does the frame. The motorcycle continues to get USD forks, however, the rear monoshock is now an adjustable Ohlins S3 unit, while the rear disc rotor is also larger than before.
Other bits such as the 17-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres, the TFT instrument console with phone connectivity, cruise control, ABS, traction control, ride modes, and the charging ports for devices remain the same. Kawasaki has not announced prices for the new Ninja 1100 SX, however, a few dealerships have started accepting bookings for the motorcycle.
