The Dominar 400 may not be a high-volume selling product but it’s still the flagship Bajaj two-wheeler on sale. First launched in 2017, the power cruiser received its first set of upgrades in 2021. The Chakan-based bikemaker is set to introduce another updated iteration of the Dominar 400 soon.
As per a recent report, Bajaj will be updating the Dominar 400. In the upcoming iteration, the tourer will gain a new LCD-Dot matrix instrument cluster, the same unit which is offered in the Pulsar NS400Z. This fully digital display packs features such as Bluetooth connectivity with calls and text alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator, distance to empty, etc.
2025 Bajaj Dominar 400: Changes expected
An image of the same has been leaked on the internet. This upgrade means Bajaj has deleted the small instrument console mounted on the fuel tank. In its place, the Dominar 400 gets a USB charging port instead. With this update, Bajaj intends to streamline the manufacturing process by using the same display on both the Dominar 400 and the Pulsar NS400Z.
Other features expected to find a place in the Dominar 400 are likely to be multiple ride modes, ride-by-wire throttle, and maybe traction control. Mechanically, the Dominar 400 will most likely remain unchanged. This includes a 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the KTM 390 range. This motor kicks out 39.5 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Currently, Bajaj Dominar 400 is priced at Rs 2.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Expect the Dominar 400 to witness a small bump in price post the upcoming update. There are no direct rivals of the Dominar 400 but it competes against the likes of Triumph Speed 400, Royal Guerilla 450 and Hero Mavrick 440.
