Triumph Scrambler 400 XC highlights
Platform and design
The new Scrambler 400 axC is based on the same platform as the Scrambler 400 X, while also sharing a number of components such as the tank, body panels, headlight, and seat. One big update the new Scrambler 400 XC gets over the Scrambler 400 X is the high-mounted front fender, giving the motorcycle more presence, and making it look taller. The upswept exhaust is also identical and is carried over.
Features and equipment
The Scrambler 400 XC gets non-adjustable USD forks in the front, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. One of the biggest changes is the introduction of tubeless wire-spoke wheels — 19-inch front and 17-inch rear. The motorcycle weighs a bit more than the Scrambler 400 X, as it also gets additional protection for the engine.
Engine specifications
The engine has been the highlight of the 400 range and similar to the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X, the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC uses the same 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. There is no quickshifter on offer and the accessories list does not have it either.
