Scooters have been the go to option for the humongous middle class buyers in India as their choice of daily commutes. A large chunk out of the total two-wheeler sales of 18,95,799 units registered in October this year belonged to scooters. Let’s look at the 5 best-selling scooters in India for October 2023.

- Honda Activa
Honda Activa continues to rule the roost in the scooter market for over two decades now. Like Splendor for Hero MotoCorp, Activa is a sales driving force for Honda in India. Available in both 110cc and 125cc iterations, Activa registered a volume of 2,18,856 units in October this year which resulted in a 4% YoY growth and a MoM decline of 7%.
- TVS Jupiter
TVS Jupiter took the second spot by registering a monthly sales volume of 91,824 units in October 2023. This translated into YoY and MoM growths of 19.19% and 10.46%, respectively. Like Activa, Jupiter is available in both 110cc and 125cc derivatives.
- Suzuki Access
Access is the primary breadwinner for Suzuki in India. The Japanese brand sold 56,909 units of Access last month resulting in 15.69% YoY growth while MoM sales remained stagnant. Unlike the top two scooters, Access is available in a single 125cc iteration which is priced between Rs 82,201 and Rs 92,301 (both ex-showroom).
- TVS Ntorq
TVS Ntorq is one of the sportiest scooters in the 125cc market. Hosur-based TVS was able to sell 34,476 units of Ntorq in October. As a result, it recorded YoY and MoM growths of YoY 11% and 7.39%, respectively. It is also one of the more premium 125cc scooters in the country priced between Rs 87,133 and Rs 1.08 lakh (both, ex-showroom).
- Honda Dio
Dio is the fifth highest overall and the second highest selling scooter for Honda in October with a total recorded volume of 32,385 units. This resulted in a YoY growth of 34% and MoM growth of 35%. Dio is currently offered at prices between Rs 74,234 and Rs 81,735 (both ex-showroom).
