Royal Enfield has unveiled the new Scram 440 in India, which will replace the Scram 411 that was based on the older Himalayan. The new Royal Enfield Scram 440’s prices will be announced in January 2025 and the motorcycle gets tweaks to made to the engine to make more power than the older Scram 411. The new Royal Enfield Scram 440 is based on the same chassis, however, it has grown in dimensions. These are marginal but are a noteworthy change. The Scram 440 has also gained weight compared to the Scram 411 and here’s how they compare in terms of dimensions.

In terms of design, the Royal Enfield Scram 440 retains its looks of being a scrambler. It sports the same enclosure for the headlight without a windscreen, tank shrouds, and the round headlight. The headlight unit is now LED replacing the halogen light, while the overall design of the motorcycle remains the same.

The biggest difference between the new Royal Enfield Scram 440 and the 411 is the engine. While they both use a single-cylinder air-cooled unit, the engine has grown in size for the Scram 440. Royal Enfield has increased the size of the bore in the cylinder, thus extracting more power and torque. Another big difference is that the new Scram 440 gets a 6-speed gearbox.

In terms of features and hardware, the Scram 440 retains the telescopic front forks, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, a choice of either alloy or spoked wheels (depending on the variant), a semi-digital instrument cluster, a USB charging port, and the Tripper navigation unit.
