TVS-owned Norton, the British motorcycle manufacturer known for some of its models like the Norton Commando, Manx, and in recent times, the Norton V4SV and V4CR, has announced anniversary edition models to celebrate the brand’s 125-year heritage.
Notron has announced limited edition models of the V4SV, V4CR, and Commando 961 that take their colour inspiration from the Energette, Manx, Formula 750 Works Racer, and NRS588. The motorcycles will be limited to 125 examples per model, making them exclusive.
The Norton Commando 961 comes in a colour scheme inspired by the Energette, Norton’s first motorcycle made in 1902. The 961 is finished in a yellow shade with a brown seat and polished cases.
The Commando 961 is also offered in the Manx shade, which gets black bodywork and the fuel tank is finished in silver. The third shade on offer with the Commando is the Transatlantic colour scheme, inspired by the Formula 750 Works Racer’s 1972 racing season, sporting a white, red and blue colour scheme.
Coming to the final scheme on offer, the ‘588’ theme, is offered on all three models, the Commando 961, V4SV and V4CR. Taking inspiration from the race bikes of the 80s and 90s, the motorcycles get a black finish on the engine, suspension, and other components, along with a carbon fibre flyscreen and gold OZ rims.
