Yes, you read that right and dealers have stopped taking bookings for the new KTM 390 Adventure X as well. As per sources, the new KTM 390 Adventure X will be replaced by a 390 Adventure X Plus, which will get more features compared to the current 390 Adventure X, while some components will be shared.
KTM 390 Adventure X Plus — What will be the changes?
On the design and looks front, the upcoming 390 Adventure X Plus will look identical to the current 390 Adventure X, with the same styling and colour combinations. It will also sport the same components, such as long travel non-adjustable USD forks, alloy wheels, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends, and more.
The most crucial change will be with the electronics on offer — the new 390 Adventure X Plus will get a host of electronic nannies based on an IMU, such as cornering ABS and traction control, and 3 riding modes (Rain, Street, Off-road) that will alter the ABS and traction control interference accordingly. The updated Adventure X Plus model will also get cruise control.
The engine will remain the same — a 399cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm of torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox. Now, whether KTM will offer a quickshifter as standard will remain a question.
The updated KTM 390 Adventure Plus is expected to be launched in India in the coming weeks, as per sources. The current 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs 2.91 lakh ex-showroom and is available in two colours: orange and white. The updated model could see an increase in price, around Rs 20,000.
