In the entry-level off-road motorcycle segment, the Xpulse 200 was the go-to machine, owing to its price, equipment, and friendly power delivery. Looking at the segment, Kawasaki wanted a bite as well, and launched the KLX 230 in India, albeit with a much higher price point. For the extra price, the Kawasaki definitely has better suspension, but Hero upped the game with the new Xpulse 210, giving the motorcycle a more powerful engine. Here’s how they compare.

The new Hero Xpulse 210 gets a minor change to its design, however, it retains all the goodies that made it a success. It gets long travel suspension on both ends, 21-18 wire-spoke wheels, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS with modes, a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, LED lighting, and more.

The Kawasaki KLX also gets similar equipment, however, it gets slightly less suspension travel compared to the Xpulse 210. Despite marginally lower travel on the suspension, the Japanese machine gets more ground clearance compared to the Xpulse 210, while weighing just 139kg compared to the Xpulse’s 170kg mass. The Kawasaki gets an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity.
