Ducati has announced the new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour motorcycle, based on the popular V4 S platform. With the new motorcycle, Ducati claims that it is targeted at touring in luxury, and with the level to what the motorcycle is specced to, Ducati is right.
The new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour also gets the same wheels and electronics as the V4 S but gets a lot more to make it touring-friendly. Here’s all you need to know about the new Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour.
New Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour – What’s new?
Compared to the V4 S, the V4 S GT gets a new livery with grey, black and red accents on the bodywork, and a new pillion seat. The GT gets colour-matched panniers fitted as standard, along with a centre stand. The centre stand is an optional extra on other models and it makes it easier to load and unload the motorcycle, as well as do some maintenance.
Other luxuries include heated seats, heated grips, and a rigidly mounted handlebar, which Ducati claims gives the rider a better connection with the motorcycle. Ducati offers closable vents near the legs to manage heat and also a vent on the phone charging compartment to help cool devices when being charged.
For shorter riders, Ducati offers a Minimum Preload setting, which reduces the preload when the motorcycle comes to a halt, lowering the seat to get both feet on the ground. There is also an Easy Lift function that lowers the motorcycle when the key is turned on, making it easier to roll the bike off the stand. Once the motorcycle is on the move, it resets the suspension to what the rider had chosen.
New Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour – Engine specifications
Powering the new V4 S GT is a 1,158cc liquid-cooled V4 engine that makes 167bhp and 125Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter. The motorcycle gets fully adjustable suspension at both ends and runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels.
The list of electronic aids includes cruise control, Ducati Connect with a full navigation system, cornering ABS, traction control, hill hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a radar system, and much more.
